Our Story

Breaking Generational Cycles Through Parenting Education

Seeds of Impact is a nonprofit serving the Greater Birmingham area, equipping moms in recovery with the parenting education and support needed to build strong, healthy families.

Many of the women we serve have experienced trauma, addiction, incarceration, or Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). For many, healthy parenting was never modeled. Without intentional intervention, harmful patterns repeat.

We exist to change that trajectory.

When a mom gains confidence, community, and practical tools, her children gain stability, connection, and emotional safety.

By equipping mothers to break harmful generational cycles, Seeds of Impact is shaping a healthier future for families across our community.

The Impact on Future Generations

We are building a continuum of care that transforms recovery into restoration — and restoration into generational change.

Addressing the Root of Generational Cycles

Parenting is challenging for anyone. For moms navigating recovery, the pressure is even greater.

Stress, unrealistic expectations, and emotional dysregulation can strain parent–child relationships and increase relapse risk. Without practical tools and consistent support, cycles of trauma and instability continue into the next generation.

Seeds of Impact addresses the root — not just the symptoms.

Join the Mission

Every class completed.

Every coaching session provided.

Every support group formed.

Each represents lasting change.

With continued growth and collaboration, more moms — regardless of their past or circumstances — will have the opportunity to raise emotionally healthy, resilient children.

When a mom changes, a generation changes. You can help make that possible.
