Real Moms, Real Impact.
These stories are drawn from real letters and heartfelt conversations with dedicated mothers who have participated in our Impact Parenting program. Each one reflects genuine growth, resilience, and transformation. While the experiences are authentic, names have been changed to protect the privacy of these families.
We are honored to share a few of their powerful journeys.

Kai entered the program filled with anger and determination. She was set on taking her mother-in-law to court for contempt, frustrated that she couldn’t see her children as much as she wanted.
But through the books and teachings provided, everything shifted. She realized she had been acting selfishly—trying to take control instead of trusting God. She recognized that she had been ignorant to believe she could navigate the judicial system the way her dad did. Instead, she began focusing on changing her behavior, renewing her mindset, and surrendering control.
While she still has a long way to go, this experience has already transformed how she thinks and approaches motherhood. The program taught her far more than parenting skills; it guided her toward spiritual growth, humility, and lasting life change.

Brandi is a powerful example of what’s possible through dedication and growth. After completing our summer Impact Parenting classes, she has made remarkable strides in her journey toward reunification.
With court approaching in January, Brandi is successfully completing overnight visits and preparing to resume custody of three of her children. She will be awarded custody of her three older children, and is working to create a loving home together with their father.
Brandi’s story is one of transformation. Through the program, she didn’t just learn parenting skills — she developed consistency, maturity, and emotional responsibility that have rebuilt trust and opened doors for her family. Her progress has been so strong that she is now positioned to bring her children home.
We are incredibly proud of Brandi and the beautiful new chapter she is writing for her family.

Makayla has walked through incredibly difficult seasons, but today she stands grateful for Ms. Karmen and everything she’s learned through Impact Parenting.
The program has taught her how to get out of her own way in raising her children. She now helps them grow while teaching healthy boundaries—not through harshness, but with consistency, empathy, and understanding their needs versus wants. She holds them accountable with daily chores and responsibilities, building character and structure at home.
Most importantly, she’s learned to listen and respond thoughtfully instead of reacting emotionally, especially to her children’s trauma. She builds trust gradually, creates a safe space for them to vent, and helps them heal at the root.
Beyond parenting skills, Impact Parenting has guided Makayla to put God first, stay grounded in scripture, and embrace humility and personal growth. Even if sole custody isn’t awarded, she knows she can still be a strong, present mother.
Her journey has been hard, but deeply transformative. Her family is healing, and Makayla is becoming the mom her children deserve.

Karen’s story is one of incredible resilience and redemption. Incarcerated for the first two years of her twins’ lives, she missed precious time with her children while they lived at the Adam house. But through the Impact Parenting program at Lovelady, Karen has undergone a remarkable transformation.
Today, she has been awarded custody of her twins, and the group is actively preparing her for this new chapter. What makes her journey even more powerful is that she has never appeared in court before — yet through dedication and growth, she has earned this opportunity to reunite with her children.
Karen’s story beautifully shows how Impact Parenting goes far beyond teaching parenting skills. It helps mothers rebuild their lives with consistency, maturity, and purpose. Her progress is a true testament to what’s possible when someone commits to real change.
We celebrate Karen’s amazing journey and the loving reunion she is now experiencing with her twins.

Amanda is a busy mom who has learned the power of putting her children first. She made a conscious decision to set aside her long to-do list for a full day so she could focus entirely on her kids.
Her girls wanted a special “girl day,” so they did nails, makeup, and dressed up in the prettiest dresses they chose. Her son, of course, proudly became the one and only Spiderman. What started as a simple desire to create joy turned into meaningful memories for all of them.
Stepping away from her usual tasks to play and be fully present hasn’t been easy. But she is seeing the beautiful results of being intentional. In her oldest daughter, especially, she notices a big positive impact from simply showing up and making time for connection.
Through these purposeful moments, Britney is building stronger bonds and creating lasting memories. The program has taught her far more than parenting skills — it has helped her embrace what truly matters and grow as a more present, connected mother.

Tanika came to Impact Parenting searching for real change. Through the program, she gained a calm, deeper understanding of her children’s needs and the stages they’re in — something that has transformed how she shows up as a mother.
One powerful moment came when she sat down with her son for a genuine heart-to-heart. She asked him if his friends were speaking life and love into him — a simple but meaningful question she had never asked before. Seeing his emotional response touched her deeply and helped her recognize how she had pushed people away in the past.
Tanika is committed to being a supportive coach for her children rather than a dictator. She now sees her past shortcomings more clearly and feels equipped to meet her kids’ needs with intention and love. Unlike previous parenting classes, this program reached her heart and gave her practical tools she’s excited to master.
Her journey reflects the true power of Impact Parenting — guiding mothers not just in skills, but in personal growth, emotional availability, and lasting family healing.
